ORBI City 41 Luxury Suite

This was one of the worst stays I’ve had across 40 countries and twice as many cities. The whole place felt like a scam. They only accepted cash, then gave me 30 pounds in Turkish money, about 3 lori, when I was owed 30 lori. They denied doing it when I asked. They also asked for my Booking ID at check-in, and after I said I was unhappy and would review the stay, they gave themselves a 10-star rating. I think the online photos and reviews were fake, possibly because they write reviews for guests too. Finding the place was a struggle. It didn’t show up properly in Google Maps, only a similar name, “orbit city,” and the address wouldn’t work in navigation apps. There are many blocks, but the address didn’t say which one. My driver left me at Block D, where reception told me to call the number in Booking. Nobody answered, so I asked my tour guide in Tbilisi for help. He reached someone on WhatsApp, who sent us to Block A and a specific room that didn’t look like a proper reception. An old woman and two men were there. The WhatsApp contact told me to hand over the money, and that’s when I received Turkish money instead of lori. We arrived around midnight with my 8-year-old, who was upset and needed sleep. We were rushing to check in and couldn’t find anyone. The WhatsApp contact acted like helping was a favor, then said they closed at 11 pm. Guests arriving from international travel can come at different times; check-in shouldn’t depend on one person’s hours. The room was a huge disappointment. We’d been promised a sea view, but all we saw was Block D residents very close by. There was almost no service, no cleaning, not even bed sheets. The property seemed to have thousands of guests, and the elevators were packed and hard to use. Security also concerned me: the next-door room had a connecting patio, making it easy for someone with bad intentions to climb across. At night it was noisy because of the nearby amusement park. At 12 am we could clearly hear disco music and people screaming on the rides. The poor service and unreliability shouldn’t be listed or sponsored by Booking. I’m hugely disappointed in Booking as well.
