The sea view is the one thing that made this place worthwhile. The accommodation is new, with fresh bedding and decent cleanliness, though some things could be better. The complex is still being built and sits right by the sea. Getting around was a hassle. Parking meant trying your luck on the street, and the crowded reception took ages to reach and check in at. The elevators were an adventure too, with long waits despite there being several. I’d booked breakfast on Booking, but was told at check-in it wasn’t available. The discount they gave me didn’t match what I’d initially paid, so booking without breakfast would have worked out better. There were maintenance problems in the room as well. The electricity didn’t work even with the card in its slot, and I had to go to reception to learn that I needed to switch the fuses off and on each time I came back. The sink unit and shower enclosure looked poorly maintained, the shower hose kept coming loose from the water pressure, and there were other small defects. Between that and the poor service, I left with a bad impression.

The loud party music went on late into the night, which makes this a bad fit if you’re looking for a quiet place to sleep. It’s in a carnival and nightclub area. This is a private apartment listed by an individual, not a proper hotel or serviced apartment. We booked a sea view room but were given a view of the neighboring building. The owner wouldn’t provide the room as described and told us to leave if we didn’t like it. Then they cancelled my Booking.com reservation, saying I hadn’t shown up. We had to find somewhere else at 11:40 pm. Getting checked in was also awful. I asked several times which building we needed, since Orbi City has multiple towers, but wasn’t given the exact one or any check-in instructions until our taxi reached the Orbi complex. This was the only dishonest and unpleasant homestay of my whole trip in George. A real shame given Georgia’s warm hospitality.

We couldn’t sleep or relax because there was constant noise. The furniture was old, uncomfortable, and poorly kept, and the bathroom was very dirty, with insects and clogged drains. At check-in, the host kept us waiting for four hours, then asked for extra money beyond the amount stated in the booking policy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. 3220

Booking early got us an affordable rate. The place was clean and easy to get to, with a lovely view and location. It’s a bit far from the sights, but the reasonable price and cleanliness made that easy to overlook.
