Silk Road Sea Towers Batumi Apart Hotel

I can’t speak for every room since some are privately owned, but the mattress in the room my new wife and I had for our wedding night was so bad we would have preferred a pull-out sofa. Checkout was a nightmare too. Reception wouldn’t let us leave until they got some kind of clearance from the owner.

These aren’t really hotels. There are several rental groups across three buildings, renting apartments under the owners’ names. We stayed in a clean Orbi Group apartment in Block B. The Block B apartments and staff were helpful and kind, and their office is at the entrance. The rooms were simple but clean and useful, and prices were almost the same. I’m not sure whether the first hotel, or apartment, belongs to Silk Road or Panorama Residences, but the receptionist there was rude and stupid. It’s better to check in there without online checking. We complained to the online booking company about the Silk Road staff. The whole place is complicated, so be careful.

The room was okay, but it wasn’t clean, and the mattresses were hard, old, and dirty. It’s quiet here, which was good, but we killed about 20 mosquitoes before bed and they kept appearing out of nowhere, even with the doors and windows shut the whole time. The value was very poor, so we may look for somewhere else next time.

We liked everything about this modern two-room apartment right by the sea. It has fantastic town and sea views and comes with two beach towels, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Both balcony doors even have mosquito nets. It’s very convenient for two to four people or a family with children. There’s a 24-hour reception, security, and Wi-Fi.
