The room was spacious and the hotel is in a good area. I really liked the pool, but was disappointed that the gym didn’t have yoga mats. Breakfast was disappointing too, with neither fried eggs nor salmon.

The reception staff were friendly, and the room itself was okay. There are supermarkets around and the beach is about a 10-minute walk away, though the area is busy and didn’t feel suited to families. Room cleaning was awful. I think we left it cleaner when we checked out than the cleaners had left it. The restaurant waitress was horrible as well. For a hotel that charges quite a lot, they should learn how to provide five-star service.

The staff were rude and unfriendly, and the food was poor. Vegetables and fruit weren’t fresh, and breakfast was very bad. There wasn’t even bottled water. I paid 28 lari for two glasses of wine with breakfast in Georgia. We arrived at 17:00, though our room was supposed to be ready at 14:00. We then waited in line for forty minutes while reception kept saying “five minutes”; we were finally checked in at 18:00. The floor smelled bad, and there was an unpleasant odor in the room when the air conditioner was on. The windows looked like they hadn’t been washed in a long time. The toilet was damp and smelly, and there was no toilet brush. This is one of the most expensive hotels in Batumi, but the high price seems to apply only to the rooms.

The hotel exceeded what we expected. We especially appreciated the staff’s professionalism, warmth, and helpfulness. A young man at reception was particularly kind when we checked in. The rooms matched the website photos and even looked better in person, with lovely sea views and sunsets. The bed and soft linens were very comfortable. There was a working iron in the room, which we used every day without damaging our clothes. Housekeeping came when we asked, using a convenient in-room call system, and the water was replenished regularly. That was especially welcome when we arrived late and the shops were closed. Breakfast was amazing. The hot dishes changed each day and were delicious, and staff refilled them even near the end of breakfast, which runs from 08:00-11:00. The hotel is in a nice part of town, about a 10-minute walk from a very clean beach. The spa and sun lounger area on the fourth floor are great, and we never had to queue for the elevators. We did find there were a lot of Russian tourists, though that’s not the hotel’s fault.
