The staff are cheerful and friendly, and the hotel is clean and cozy. Walking to the sea takes 15 minutes, though you can get there faster by minibus. Distances aren't much of an issue in this city, and the center is a 15-minute minibus ride away. Taxis are fairly cheap compared with metropolitan areas, so we can recommend the hotel. Good luck to Vega Hotel, and may more tourists come to your city!

The hotel has had a fairly recent renovation, and the beach is about a 15-minute walk away. Nearby are five currency exchange offices with the best rates in town, a pharmacy, and a 24-hour shop. They offer a shuttle to the beach and other services. The owner even gave us a phone, not just a number, so we could call a car to pick us up from the beach. We'd never seen that before. The noisy street wasn't a deal-breaker, nor were the mediocre room service and the rough route to the city center, past service stations and car washes. Despite those drawbacks, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
