She promised deposits back for pets and utilities, but did not return them. What bothered me most was the lying and hypocrisy. Mice move between the walls and have even entered a neighbor's apartment through the ventilation. Utility charges are high, and once a month Darina brings a paper with amounts for water, gas, and other bills. They won't let you pay directly or show receipts, which feels like a way to make money from residents. Repairs were another issue. After I moved in, I kicked the radiator while standing by the window a few days later. It fell out of the wall because the anchor holes were too big and it was held by a piece of paper. I told Darina, and her handyman quoted 100 lari for the repair. She demanded the same amount from me. There are many similar examples. When it rains, water gets under the wooden flooring and leaks into the apartment. The wooden sections soak it up, then water comes out onto the floor when you walk over them. The ventilation in the double-glazed window is sealed with tape, and it makes the apartment very cold.
