The hosts were warm and helpful, the food was delicious, and we had hot showers. We liked it enough to stay a second night. Dinner and breakfast come at a reasonable fixed price, and the wine was very drinkable. It’s a remote place, so things are a bit more basic than in Telavi, but we really enjoyed it, maybe even more for that. One small heads-up: the beds in our room were about 185 cm long, a little short for my husband to lie fully flat. Queto's guesthouse next door seems to be the same place or have the same owner. I’m not sure whether its rooms differ, but all the guests eat together in the same area.

Right by the old Dartalo settlement, this is a sweet place for tired travelers. The house is fairly new, but the service and atmosphere feel more traditional than at the guesthouses inside Dartalo. It’s clean enough as a trail refuge, and meals are available: dinner, breakfast, and a lunch box for the road. The room was small, and the mattresses were too soft.

We were the only guests and spent every minute we could on the terrace. It’s a simple but very cute guesthouse, and the owners are lovely. Everything they serve is locally produced and so tasty. We tried Tushetian beer, homemade wine, Kotori, Godis kveli, and several other traditional dishes. Thanks for everything!

The rooms felt like a building site, and they were tiny, with no plug sockets in them. The bathroom was very small and dirty. The water swung between scalding hot and freezing cold, and there was no soap for washing hands. Breakfast was basic, too: the bread we got was probably three days old, hard, and dry. I wouldn’t recommend it.
