Gudauri Heart

I came across this place on the map while browsing online. We’ve stayed there many times and have always been very happy, so I wanted to thank Dmitry. The apartment is spotless and modern, and Dima was always available with helpful advice. There’s a lovely mountain view from the window. The location is ideal: two restaurants are in the same building, three supermarkets open 24 hours are within walking distance, the slopes and ski lift are two minutes away, and a pharmacy is a minute away. Marco Polo Hotel is nearby, with its spa, bar lounge, billiards room, and cafe. There’s also a Netflix console with recent films and TV series, so we enjoyed movie evenings in our free time. The TV swivels toward the bed, which was handy. We loved our stay and recommend it.

We even spent a couple of days with Dmitry in Tbilisi, in a clean and tidy three-room apartment with stylish decor in the city centre. For the two of us it felt like a mansion. He arranged great excursions around Tbilisi and took us to Georgian restaurants that weren’t aimed at tourists. He really showed us the city through a Georgian’s eyes. We’re delighted and grateful, and hope to come back in May to enjoy Tbilisi again. In Gudauri, the apartment was spotless, cosy, warm, and had everything we needed for an easy holiday. The view of the church and snow-covered mountains was a joy to wake up to, and it truly felt like home. Dmitry sent the apartment and Ski Depo information ahead of time, shared practical tips about changing money and other useful details, and was always available. His driver Gia was excellent with the transfer. The location was so convenient: everything was just steps away, from the first route and cable car to a 24-hour supermarket and pharmacy. Two cafes and SkiRent were right in the building. We were especially relieved we’d picked the right spot, since people in Upper Gudauri had gone weeks without water that year and our apartment wasn’t affected. The air here also isn’t as thin as in Upper New Gudauri. Prices in New Gudauri are higher, too. A wonderful holiday, and a piece of our hearts stayed in Georgia.
