The view is beautiful, and the sauna is a plus, but at this price I wouldn't recommend the room. It just wasn't good enough. The TV didn't work, some rooms had no bathrobe, and ours had literally hundreds of dead flies that should have been cleaned up before guests arrived. The cleaning lady waited outside our door almost two hours before checkout, so we felt pushed to leave. Breakfast was the worst part: very poor, with basics like spread cheese, sausages, and scrambled eggs missing. It doesn't start until 9:00 either, which is a big, unexpected problem if you're heading out on a morning trip. With children, that leaves you skipping breakfast and going hungry. A very disappointing stay for the price.

Breakfast is fairly limited, as other reviewers have said. It works for a quick bite, but there's not much variety. Our room was spotless and well maintained, with good shower pressure, and the location was excellent. We had a great stay and I'd come back. If a simple breakfast is fine with you, the cleanliness and location make this a fantastic choice.

For a budget hotel in such a remote location, we had a great stay at Monte hotel. The reception staff were warm and very friendly. Don't expect anything fancy, and the breakfast selection is limited, but the salads were fresh and tasty.

We had the dates wrong and turned up during Easter, when the hotel was closed and only the family was there. They still accommodated us and really saved us. The family was lovely and welcoming, and the facilities were incredible, right in the heart of Gudauri. A TOP PICK. Thank you to your lovely family, Madloba!
