New Gudauri Suites

I had a terrible vacation experience with new gudauri suites. Before we arrived, customer service KHATIA offered an outside airport taxi for 120eur, about double the usual 50-60eur, payable only in cash. The check-in staff were asleep when we got there. Our room was smaller than the pictures suggested and dirty, with hair on the mattress. When my friends and I decided to go somewhere else because the place wasn't acceptable, both Khatia and Luca threatened us and acted aggressively. Think twice before booking. There are very nice hotels in the area.

The location is excellent, but our stay was deeply unsatisfactory. We arrived late in the evening to find dirt and lots of rocks across the room, plus very dirty silicone left from construction. The garbage hadn't been taken out, and there were used shampoo bottles in the bathroom, so we couldn't tell whether the room had been cleaned at all. The sofa bed had basically no mattress, so we asked reception for an extra one and reported the other problems. We went to dinner for two hours to give staff time to deal with them. Our bill had been wrong twice, with an extra 60 gel each time, and when we returned to the front desk to check on the issues, we were told no cleaning crew was available. The front desk staff member said he hadn't seen any dirt or rocks when he entered our room, only the construction silicone. He then insisted we take him up to show him the dirt. We showed him everything, but he still did nothing about the full garbage, used items, or dirty floor. He wouldn't give us any information about the manager, not even his name, saying he wasn't allowed to. He had messaged the manager on WhatsApp and got no response, so he offered no help. Bags of garbage were left in the hallway on our floor all night and day. The next day we were given a one-time spa voucher in response to our complaint, but service there was awful too. We asked for a second towel and weren't given one, though other guests got two. We had to ask another guest to request towels from the front desk for us. All the shower drains were blocked, leaving water everywhere. One hair dryer was in the toilet, where the flush didn't work, and the whole place smelled of mold. Do yourselves a favor and book somewhere else.

The ski lift is just 25m from the building, and there are loads of things to enjoy: indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, restaurants, cafes, bars, a lounge, ski rental, a sports shop, and more. The best place in Gudauri.

The host didn't tell us there was a heating system issue in the area. Since it wasn't peak season, the heating had been cut off. Communication from the host was lacking.
