Ski House Panorama Mini-Hotel

We came across Ski House Panorama by chance and stayed three nights for a ski trip in Gudauri. It’s not especially central, but we settled in quickly thanks to the hosts’ warm, family-friendly welcome. The traditional food was excellent, the staff were courteous, and the prices were reasonable. A few times, children crying in the night woke us up, though that wasn’t the staff’s fault. After skiing, it was lovely to relax by the fireplace on the cosy sofas. The homemade food and smooth wine were great, and the family atmosphere felt welcoming. The hosts were always happy to help and show us around town. We’ll definitely come back. Regards from Kamil.

The owners provided really good customer service, and the woman running the kitchen was a sweetheart. The hotel is modest, clean, budget-friendly, and offers half board. Rooms are spacious but very simple, and the TV is mostly in Russian or the local language rather than English. Some staff weren’t as friendly with kids, so I’m not sure it’s suitable for families, and not everyone speaks English. The location is okay, but you still need a car or taxi for the 5-10 minute ride to the ski resort. The hotel shuttle only goes to the first station.

We’d read some worrying older reviews, but a new manager and team took over the hotel this season. They were genuinely friendly and hospitable, and we had a good stay. The common room also has panoramic views. I’d recommend it.
