Matua guest house

There’s a garden at the house, plus cows, dogs, chickens, and turkeys, so it’s a lovely place to stay with small children. The husband and wife hosting us were very welcoming, and the house has what you need for a stay, including the option to cook your own meals. We were given fresh walnuts from the tree and grapes, and they also offer homemade wine from their cellar. You can order homemade breakfast for 25 GEL per person.

Breakfast and dinner were amazing, and we had such a great experience as guests. The people there were so kind and treated us like their grandsons, even taking us around the farm. Best guest house I've stayed in. Extremely recommended.

Some rooms don't have their own shower and toilet, so be aware of that. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time. The accommodation exceeded what we expected, and the homemade meals were delicious. They showed us around the farm and sent us off with free hazelnuts and fruit for the road. A must-stop in Jvari on the way to or from Mestia. We’ll definitely visit again!

The way the owner responded when I tried to sort things out felt like talking to a wall. We were so uncomfortable that we left early in the morning, even though we weren't feeling 100 percent. There was mould in our bed, and the Airbnb description was wrong. The team was unfriendly, and guests seemed to get different levels of kindness, hospitality, and prices. I cried twice because I couldn't believe what was happening. They ripped us off. I don't recommend staying here.
