Really great.

The hosts were so thoughtful throughout our July 2024 stay. When we asked about drinking the tap water, they brought us two bottles in case we preferred those. They also quickly found us a dryer for the balcony, showed us a safer place for the washing machine under the cameras, pointed out where to find raincoats when it started raining, and messaged us on WhatsApp when the machine was free. We had a spacious, comfortable two-bedroom suite for five on the third floor, with a big balcony facing the Ispani marshes. There were a few small things one could nitpick in the room, but they didn’t bother us at all. The place felt simple and peaceful, and we’d gladly stay again.

I never got to check in. I booked through booking, then the owner messaged right away asking for an advance payment, even though that went against the booking.com terms. When I politely declined, they called me fake and said I didn’t like Georgia. I was nearby and due to arrive the next day. The whole thing felt absurd, like they just wanted money. I later booked and checked in successfully at two other guest houses without paying in advance.

The receptionist was warm and easy to reach by phone, and was usually around the grounds. It seems quite a few guests return. There are just 13 rooms, each different, and some have balconies. The shared courtyard Wi-Fi is separate from the connection in each room. The pleasant grounds have tables beside a green lawn, giving the place a quiet, restful feel. It’s close to the sea, but peaceful at night, with no restaurant noise, and the beach is wide. There are showers and changing rooms, plus paid sun loungers. The park opposite has play areas, toilets, and a café. There’s a kitchenette, though not much kitchenware. We had to ask for plates, cups, a kettle, a clothes dryer, and toilet paper. A shared washing machine is available for a fee, and laundry is usually hung to dry in the backyard.
