The beds were uncomfortable, and the kitchen dishes were dirty and poor quality. The laundry room was kept locked, so we had to ask for the key every time, which was really unpleasant, and the internet didn't work. We were quoted one price before arriving, then charged more when we got there late at night. With nowhere else to stay, we had to accept it. The prices felt unreasonable and misleading, and the service didn't match what we paid.

We keep coming back to David Hotel in Kobuleti, and the pool is one reason: it’s cleaned each morning, with loungers nearby. It’s shared with another hotel, though. We usually arrive around 9:30 and swim with our daughter until nearly 11. Kids can also use the trampoline, and there’s a small bar open in the daytime and evening. Rustaveli Street is on the second line of the road, so the hotel stays quiet, away from loud music and heavy traffic. The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities, and the grounds are kept up nicely. Breakfast is available if you ask, and it’s always tasty and filling. We’re grateful to the owners, Victoria and David, and to Victoria’s assistants, Olga and Katerina, for being professional and quick to respond. Victoria is so welcoming with guests. We’ve stayed here for years and plan to return again.

The pool water is crystal clear, though it isn’t heated. Victoria is a lovely host and makes wonderful breakfasts. You can also buy excellent homemade wine and cognac here. Good value for money.

We found the place convenient, with welcoming hosts who answered questions and offered advice. Thanks, Vika :) Our room had a quiet Electrolux air conditioner, good beds, and a roomy shower. It was clean and well looked after, and you can tell the owners have invested in the place. The terrace looks out over the mountains. My wife and I would sit there in the evenings chatting over wine. The grounds are green and tidy. There’s a kitchen downstairs for making tea, coffee, and other basics, plus a dining room and breakfast option. They’ll do a large load of laundry for 5 lari. The Black Sea beach is only a 3-4 minute walk away.
