The room was awful. The fridge and air conditioner didn’t work, the balcony door and window wouldn’t close, and the mattress was so soft it had a sharp wire along its edge. The balcony table and chair were broken, and the view was basically a landfill. We eventually got a refund and left. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. The business seems shady, and the building looks like it could fall apart soon. I booked it on Booking as Karo Hotel, but the reception called it Hotel Megobroba, while it’s listed here as Hotel Friendship. As soon as we arrived, they asked us to cancel the Booking reservation so they wouldn’t have to pay the fee, and offered us a discount. After seeing the room, we understood why they might want that: once you cancel, you can’t review the place on Booking. That would explain its 9.6 score, which may come only from “approved” guests.
