House by the Sea

Cool.

The beach was only a three-minute walk away, though it was a little hard to spot because a cafe is being built out front. There’s a shaded courtyard where you can park, and the room gets cleaned every three days. If you need to tidy up between cleanings, you can borrow a broom and dustpan. We stayed in a new, clean, attractive apartment on the third floor. It had two bedrooms, a small kitchenette, a shower and toilet, plus a fridge and everything needed to cook. The air conditioning worked, as did the TV, which had more than 70% Russian-language channels. Wi-Fi was great too. The bathroom came with towels for everyone, disposable toothbrushes, toilet paper and a hairdryer. Our hosts even treated us to their wine and chacha.

There's a garden behind the house with tables and cover from both sun and rain. Inside, the rooms and bathroom were clean, the air conditioning worked, and guests could use a kitchen as well as the big shared fridge in the hallway. Service was friendly and efficient.

The hosts made us feel very welcome and were lovely. I did find it inconvenient that there wasn't a shared kitchen. They let us use their own kitchen, but that wasn't quite the same.
