LILEO Hotel

The rooms were quiet and very clean, and we had a really pleasant stay. It’s a cozy hotel with a warm feel, and both the owner and staff were so welcoming. Breakfast was great too. We’d definitely return if we get the chance :)))

The room was clean and adequate, though nothing special. Breakfast had real eggs, which matters to me, but didn’t start until 9 AM, and the ice machine quit after the first day. The balcony I paid extra for turned out to be a Juliet balcony with an ashtray but no chair or room to add one. The terrace looked promising, but didn’t have seating for our group of five. The hotel also isn’t smoke-free, and the rooms weren’t soundproof. We were disappointed that Lileo no longer seemed to operate as a winery, and the pictured winery area wasn’t open to guests. There was no restaurant service outside breakfast and no room service, even though having a restaurant on site was a major reason we chose it. Several advertised activities, including live music, happy hour, and evening entertainment, weren’t available either. Laundry service wasn’t available when a couple of us asked. The desk staff either didn’t speak English well or didn’t seem interested in providing good service, or both. Breakfast staff did try to accommodate us, though. Staff make a big difference, and the front desk didn’t come across as customer-focused. One person in our party couldn’t get into Lileo and stayed at the nearby Hill Hotel instead. Its friendly staff and rooftop restaurant made for a stark contrast. Our group of friends had been excited about Lileo Hotel and Winery, but it didn’t match most recent reviews or some of the things listed on booking.com.

The employee named Julia treated us with such kindness and elegance that I’d come back because of her. The hotel itself is very beautiful, and her service was beyond description.

The helpful, welcoming staff and the lovely Georgian wine made our stay enjoyable. It’s in one of Kutaisi’s best spots, very close to the city center, and the hotel has a beautiful style. I highly recommend staying here. You’ll enjoy it.
