Aisi In Lagodekhi Guest House

The dinner is 40 lari, and there was so much food that I couldn’t finish it, even though I wanted to. I had some for dinner and more for breakfast. Absolutely order it. It’s the best food I’ve had since arriving in Georgia, from a lovely elderly host who cooked some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. In the morning, the shakshuka-type egg dish was seriously outstanding too. The hosts were so sweet. I spoke with two of them: one was the lovely cook, and another was extremely friendly, spoke English, and was very helpful. The place is cozy, clean, and comfortable, like being welcomed into their family home. The location is amazing: seven minutes from the marshrutka station and a few minutes from the main street, groceries, and restaurants. The walk to the Lagodekhi Nature Preserve entrances for the Black Lake and Black Grouse trails takes 30 minutes, making this an excellent base for those routes. I loved staying here. If I come back to Lagodekhi, I’ll stay here again. Thanks for such a great visit, and all the best!

I wish I could have stayed longer than one night. The room was cozy and comfortable, with its own unique feel. The owners are incredibly nice and serve amazing food and wine. It was a wonderful stay, highly recommend!

The garden and outside patio are beautiful, and my room was comfortable with charming decor. The best part was the warmth and hospitality of the host family. Thanks for a great stay.

I loved how many cozy places there were to sit, chat, or journal: comfortable couches in different living rooms, an outdoor patio, and a gorgeous garden with several hammocks and a picnic table. It was extremely affordable too. During our 10-day trip around Georgia, this was my favorite place to stay, and I can’t say enough nice things about the guesthouse. 10 out of 10, strongly recommend! The hosts are gems. They were friendly and happy to talk about Georgian culture and share their own experiences of living here. The father even drove us to Lagodekhi National Park and later to the Tbilisi bus station, which was more than we expected. The food was excellent. Every part of dinner was delicious: soup, chicken stew, beet salad, cucumber salad, fried potatoes, bread, homemade wine, and juice. The shakshuka-type egg dish at breakfast was outstanding too. Even if you don’t stay the night, I’d still recommend coming for the home-cooked meals.
