Cha Cha Backpackers

The setting was stunning, and the hostel had such a peaceful, welcoming feel. The owners were incredibly friendly and focused on making guests feel looked after. I hadn't expected much, but this ended up being one of the best hostels I've stayed in. My whole stay was a positive experience.

Tony and Barbara made us feel welcome, and we'd happily stay with them again. The place was very clean, with a fridge and everything we needed to cook. There's a bakery right across the street, and a grocery store about a five-minute walk away. Downtown is an easy walk too, and there's river access for a refreshing swim. Tony can arrange day trips and share tips on interesting nearby spots. His neighbor cooked some of the best food we had in Georgia. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and having self-service laundry was such a helpful bonus. Tony, the owner, and his buddy Elias were both kind and helpful throughout my stay, never annoying. Cha Cha was better than I expected in every way. Keep up the good work, I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Georgia.

Tony was a big help with ideas for things to do around Martvili, especially options away from the tourist spots. I stayed three nights in the dorm, which was cozy and beautifully decorated. The pod-style bunks helped me feel secure as a woman, though it got a bit hot; the fans helped. The neighbor's home-cooked meal was amazing. If you get the chance to go tubing, try it. Sometimes the water level is too low, but when it's high enough, it's a relaxing day out in nature. Three days felt about right. The river right behind the hostel is a lovely place for a swim and to watch the sunset.
