The view from the rooms is beautiful, and it helped make up for a few small issues with the rooms. I also really appreciated that the hotel welcomes pets. 🐶🐈 The staff were so warm and helpful. They sorted out every issue, treated us to CHACHA each day, and arranged for us to work from the restaurant starting at 9 a.m. Luka especially brought great energy, always smiling and in a good mood. He shared fun stories about traditional dishes and was generous with guests. Thanks so much, guys, for that sincere Svan hospitality. ❤️🫶

The host, whose name was Auto or something like that, was amazing and very helpful. That’s why we gave four stars instead of two or three. We spent two nights there: the first had no Wi-Fi and a poor breakfast, while the second had barely usable Wi-Fi but a fantastic breakfast. There were several other annoying things about the hotel. We’d definitely stay again if we knew the Wi-Fi was available.

From the garden you can relax with family or friends, and there are also good restaurants and a bar. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Hotel Banguriani sits high above Mestia, with lovely views over town and its illuminated towers at night. You can talk with the owner, who shares interesting stories about Svaneti and helps plan tours around Mestia. I recommend Hotel Banguriani to anyone wanting to visit mystical Svaneti.
