Guest House Nanu

After a day of hiking, this was such a comfortable place to come back to. It’s only about five minutes from the town centre, and the hosts were very accommodating. My favourite guesthouse in Georgia, with clean, tidy rooms.

Really close to the centre of Mestia, and the rooms were very clean. The hosts were kind and helpful. They also had coffee, tea, chocolates, pears, coniac, and chacha for us, all free.

Nanu and Tamaz were incredibly kind and made a real effort to make me feel at home. I hadn’t ordered breakfast, but they still offered me tea, bread, cheese, and jam, along with the usual cognac/chaha. The room was roomy and clean, with a comfortable bed. Their garden is lovely, and the village centre is only a couple of minutes away. I absolutely recommend staying here.

We were touched by Nanu’s hospitality. She shared ideas for places to eat and things to see, and even helped arrange a bus to our next destination. The house and its lovely garden are clearly cared for with love. It’s in a great spot, tucked away but still very central. The place was clean and cosy, the beds were comfortable, and tea and coffee were always available. One of the nicest guesthouses we’ve stayed at in Georgia. Definitely recommend it. Thank you, Nanu!
