Warm, clean rooms and really good food. It’s a family-run place, and the Georgian singing experience was great. The hosts were friendly and helpful with tours.

The rooms were just right, and the place felt cosy. Good music, too.

The house has a big alcohol collection, so I got the impression the family collects it. Bringing a bottle from your own country might make them happy 😉 We were the only guests during our summer visit. I heard it gets packed in winter when people come to ski, and I’m sure the place looks stunning then. We’d gladly come back. It’s a gorgeous, peaceful spot surrounded by Svan towers, away from the crowds. The family was lovely. The owner speaks a little Russian, and her children, who work as guides, speak English. They helped us find a hiking spot. Our room was for three, and they brought us an extra bed. It had everything we needed. We first wondered about the lack of air conditioning, but nights are cool in this area, and it was very comfortable after the heat elsewhere in Georgia. I’d read reviews mentioning lunch as well as breakfast, but we were offered breakfast only. It was simple and delicious: scrambled eggs, cheese, bread, butter, sausages, local sour cream, and milk.

We only spent one evening, or maybe a night, with the owners and their wonderful daughters, yet leaving felt like saying goodbye to family. We had tears in our eyes. The best place in the world. Amazing...
