The food came out quickly and looked clean, and most of the staff were polite. But the fries were so greasy and salty they were almost impossible to eat. When we raised it, they said it wasn’t their responsibility. Then the bill included an unannounced 20% charge for each person and meal, and one employee was rude and unhelpful when we asked about it. We were there with a tour group. Fast service and a clean place didn’t make up for the fries, extra cost, and attitude.

The food was average and the service acceptable. What bothered me was finding about 20% in extra charges on the bill, even though nobody had mentioned them beforehand. I didn’t think the added amount was justified.

My food showed up 50 minutes after everyone else at my table had theirs. When I first asked, they told me it would be five minutes, but after that I waited another 20 minutes. I still had to pay the full price.

The food was only average, yet the prices were like those at top restaurants in central Tbilisi. The menu looked reasonably priced at first, but I spotted a handwritten line about “20%” on the last page, in Georgian only. The rest of the menu was printed in three languages, and that charge had no explanation or translation elsewhere. Google Lens showed me it was a 20% service fee, added without drawing tourists’ attention to it. Our tour guide brought us here and the owners are obviously his friends, which is fine if the place is honest and the food is worth it. This hidden “tax” felt dishonest and disrespectful. It gives a bad name to the many proud, honest Georgian people and restaurants that treat guests fairly.
