The owners were extremely nice, and the room was clean, with a good-sized balcony and a very comfortable bed. We picked this place at random along our route and had a great stay. Only a shame we had to get up early and leave.

The electricity went out, which just happens in small towns, but they ran a diesel generator in the hotel garden. It was extremely loud and the fuel smell reached the nearby rooms, ruining the whole night. I wish I hadn’t paid for it.

Zura welcomed me late at night and showed me around the property. There’s a big garden, supermarkets, and a restaurant. The boutique hotel is brand new and extra clean, and this family business is one of the best I’ve stayed at. I’m thankful to Zura and his family. The khinkali in Pasanauri is known throughout Georgia as the best, and they make it fresh here. I’m vegan, so I only had the potatoes and mushrooms, and they were so good. I can’t wait to visit Georgia again in July-August. I fully recommend staying here and driving to Gudauri for ski season, since the hotels there are extra expensive.

If you’re planning to stay in GUDAURI but find it too expensive, this is a recommended, cheaper place to stay, or you could try another hotel in pasanuri. It’s about 30 to 40 minutes’ drive away. Hotels in GUDAURI cost a lot. You might also find one fluppy dog here, so don’t forget to pet him.
