The vineyard and garden were nice, and the people were too, but that didn’t make up for the room. It smelled of sewer, and the bathroom ventilation didn’t work. There wasn’t even a glass or a bottle of water, let alone tea or coffee, though the price was like other hotels that are better supplied. The staircases hadn’t been swept or vacuumed. It was late September, rainy and chilly, but we only had summer blankets and were cold. The air conditioning barely worked and didn’t seem to provide warm air. I’ve had a sore throat since then. The staff need retraining.

We sat in the vineyard looking out at the mountains, sipping sweet red wine with lobiani and salad. The setting was perfect. I only came for dinner, and the host kindly let us order even though the kitchen was already closed.

The room and breakfast were basic, but comfortable and perfectly good enough. Service was nice, and the place was clean and cozy, with a lovely garden. For this price, I’m not sure you could find a place like it in Ambrolauri, or maybe even elsewhere in Racha.

A good winter option when the nearby homestays are closed. It’s close to the road, which may suit less adventurous travelers. The bathrooms are very small, and there are some nice framed pictures on the walls. Breakfast is routine, nothing special.

The staff were friendly, and they even let us use their washing machines. Breakfast was great, and the place was clean and peaceful.
