Guest House Eka & Gio

The homemade breakfast was delicious, and everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and close to a market. The owner was kind and very quick to respond to requests, and the dog was lovely too. Best hostel we’ve stayed in. Highly recommended ❤️

The rooms are spacious, and the terrace has great views. We also had an excellent breakfast with homemade pancakes and jam. The hosts were friendly and spoke English, and the prices were affordable for the location. This is one of the few places in Georgia where the customer service felt up to excellent European standards, at a very decent price. One of the best guest houses we’ve stayed at.

Jenny was so friendly, and the place was lovely. It’s easy to walk to the sparr shop and nearby spots, and breakfast was fresh and lovely. We also bought homemade wine there, though his cha cha was way too strong for me. There were some pretty cats nearby that came over to say hi. My only complaint was that I couldn’t fully turn off the shower head water.

This was the worst place I’ve stayed in across more than a dozen countries. A friend introduced me to it, which makes the experience especially sad. The landlady and the dog were friendly, I’ll give them that, but the male host was terrible. I felt like we were his servants instead of his guests. We were sharing a triple room, and one friend arrived later and needed to check in. The host kept asking for more money in a very unfriendly way. Just two days earlier, three of my friends had stayed in that same triple room at the same price. But when the three of us asked, he wanted us to pay 30 more 💰. He was like a bomb, speaking very rudely and saying that if we didn’t accept it, we could leave right then, at 8pm. We were shocked, and I told him it was bad. He ran upstairs to throw our luggage out. He was scarier than the devil. We got out of the drama by compromising. This was really awful for me. If you feel he discriminates against guests, please choose carefully after reading this. If you still decide to try it, I’d suggest checking in when the male host isn’t home.
