Guest House Lali

I meant to write this months ago. I was there with five friends, and some of them got into a car accident on the way up. The owner was flexible, understanding, and helped us through the whole situation, even when Georgian police cars showed up late at night. She brought us some of her homemade Saperavi to help take the edge off. Thanks again for all your help, and sorry this review took so long. The rooms were clean and excellent, and the place is really close to town.

We had lunch here, and it was easily the best food we ate in Georgia. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the wine was just as good. Lali is a sweet, kind host and a great cook. It was much better than some overpriced wineries in the city. A must in this Sighnaghi.

Lali is such a kind, intelligent person, and the building itself is beautiful, old, and full of history. Just amazing, 10/10. I'd recommend it 100%.

We had the whole house to ourselves when we stayed with friends in May. There’s loads of room for big dinners and relaxing, and the rooftop spot was a favorite. The garden is lush and full of flowers, while all the main sights are just a short walk away. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, and they offer cooking classes if that interests you. Breakfast was tasty and filling each morning, with homemade wine as a nice extra. The beds felt dated, though, and better mattresses and pillows would’ve helped. We also found ants in the bathroom. I’d read that the place operates as a restaurant, but we didn’t see other guests while we were there and it didn’t feel like an actual restaurant.
