Anna and Natalie deserve a thank-you. After our day trips, we came back each evening to a clean room and bathroom with fresh towels. We stayed four nights in a roomy, comfortable room for four, and the location was excellent. The little kitchen had a microwave, kettle, cups, glasses, and tea and coffee, but no plates or cutlery. That was fine, since housekeeping was always available to help when we asked. Breakfast came with the room and tasted good, though the menu barely changed from day to day. We also had dinner there. The set menu portions were huge, and the food was delicious.

The woman at reception was especially friendly. If you have a little time, stop and say hello, she makes you feel really welcome, like getting a warm hug. The hotel itself is beautiful, tucked in a valley, and stunning inside.

The hotel was nice, with a clean room that wasn't small, helpful reception staff, and a breakfast I really enjoyed. The pool was much too cold to use in early September, and there was no hot tub. Dinner was expensive and disappointing. They said there would be a buffet, but it wasn't available when we arrived, so we ordered a few dishes instead. The location is a long way from Kazbegi, so you have to take a taxi there and back, which costs 15 Lari. Since I paid a lot for the hotel, I don't think that extra trip is worth it. I'd suggest staying in Kazbegi, where you can find a good hotel for less.

The rooms are spacious, with a mind-blowing view. We had a mix of rooms with balconies and the terrace, and if you can get the terrace, I highly recommend it. It's an experience like no other. The area is beautiful, though a little stranded from the town center. The hotel itself felt pretty average, with average service and, in some cases, worse. Facilities are very limited, including the food choices and customer service.

I liked staying here a year ago, so I wanted to come back while travelling with my mother this year. At reception, the person wasn't very nice and told me, “there is no free rooms.” That seemed odd because the website showed plenty of rooms available. I'm giving the second star because of my previous stay.
