After two weeks here, this became my favorite guesthouse in Georgia. The room was spacious and clean, with its own bathroom, a little living area, and a gas stove for simple cooking. I also had a mountain view, good WiFi, and a gas heater. Shops, bakeries, and the marshrutka station were under a 10-minute walk away. The family was friendly and polite, and gave me privacy. The hostess even brought me some delicious homemade dessert.

The room was spacious, cozy, and clean, with thick, heavy, warm blankets. I got an amazing deal: 35 GEL for a private three-bed room with its own bathroom, which was a steal. It's near Gergeti church if you're thinking of walking there, though I'd suggest taking a short taxi ride. The shuttles and taxis are a short walk away, and there are three restaurants very close by. The place feels homey, like my grandparents' house, with its charms and quirks. Not everything is nailed shut, and lots of things are reused. The family seemed a little confused that I had a booking, but they were very friendly. The kids speak English well, unlike the elders. Before my hike, one of the older gentlemen took my luggage, gave me coffee and some candy bars for the trail, and later offered me his last slice of watermelon 🥹

From the deck, there's a great panorama, and it's only about five minutes from the center. Several well-known restaurants are nearby, too. I enjoyed having a beer while taking in the view every day. The private room, kitchen, and bathroom were all really good. The host was super kind, and the kid Giyong is cute. I'd strongly recommend this guest house to tourists.

I've tried three guesthouses around town so far. Locals have turned plenty of them into B&Bs, and each one has offered pretty much the same basic to mid-range setup and accommodation.
