Rooms Hotel Kazbegi

Nani and Anna at the front desk made our first stay at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi really special. They went above and beyond from the start. When the weather closed the road, we had to add one extra night, but the team kept us updated and suggested things to do during the added day. We felt completely looked after. The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere, with quiet corners for reading and board or card games with friends. We loved the car ride up to Gergeti church, and the wellness area was a highlight, especially since it stays open late. Breakfast was another favorite, with exceptional pastries and croissants, plus a glass of champagne on weekends. We also had a great dinner at the restaurant and left feeling very relaxed. Travel in this area can be unpredictable because of the weather, but it’s worth it. If you get a sunny day, the views are amazing. We highly recommend staying here and are so thankful to the team for taking care of us.

You’re paying for the views, and I’m beyond disappointed. The views really are breathtaking, but you can also enjoy them by going there for lunch. If you have to stay at the hotel, my honest advice is to make it just one night. I believe the hotel’s business model is built around one-night stays, since people may not care much about the room condition when they mainly want the views. The food was good, and the kitchen staff were friendly and attentive. Nalli from room service was the best, thank you Nalli. Almost nothing in our room worked. The fridge and AC were basically decorative. We called a few times to get them fixed, but were told they’d bring ice, to open the window, and that they’d bring a fan. With the balcony door open, we could hear everything outside, including neighbors’ conversations and dogs barking, and smell cigarette smoke if anyone was smoking. Good luck sleeping. There was absolutely no sound insulation, and even footsteps came through. The mattress and pillow were bad too. The pool, massage room, sauna, and gym are packed next to each other in the spa. As soon as we went in, the smell of chlorine was overwhelming. We worked out in the gym, but I’m not sure when it had last been cleaned: there were stains everywhere, and all the equipment was old. The list of times I had to call reception goes on and on, and each time I was disappointed by the level of care. Unfortunately, the reception staff were very rude.

The mountain scenery is the first thing that sticks with me about Rooms Hotel Kazbegi. Breakfast was good, and it was especially nice with that view. I was there for one night, from 3-4 December 2025, and the hotel was quiet, so it felt calm. The hilltop setting does mean getting around on foot can be tough, especially in winter. There were two short power cuts in the morning, though they didn't cause much trouble. Room service was less smooth: you had to call rather than order from the staff downstairs, and nobody picked up when I tried. Still, I had a pleasant stay and would consider it for a short visit to Kazbegi.

I woke up to the mountains framed by the big windows, right there from my pillow. That's the part that made the stay for me. The room was plain but clean, and stayed warm when it got cold outside. Don't come expecting luxury, just a pretty great view as soon as you wake up.
