Agarani Estate Hotel

Lunch was a real highlight, with excellent local food cooked beautifully. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had plenty of choice too. The rooms are roomy and thoughtfully designed, with stylish interiors, quality furniture, and a comfortable, home-like feel. This hotel is a lovely find in Kakheti. The Alazani Valley view is breathtaking, and the elegant, luxurious feel carries through every corner. It combines comfort with authentic Georgian hospitality, and seems like a peaceful place for any occasion. Highly recommended.

The receptionists and manager were especially polite, and the other staff were courteous too. The rooms were clean and a good size, and I think the owners put real care into soundproofing because we couldn't hear anything from the other rooms. The restaurant and breakfast were good, though not exceptional. It’s a quiet hillside setting next to an oak forest, with lots of fresh air and great views. The pool looks over the vineyards and Caucasus mountains, and there’s a big yard with hammocks and poufs for relaxing. The internet was very slow, and in the evenings the restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed, so getting a menu or food sometimes took a long time. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, and I missed having a mini-fridge for cold water and drinks.

The balconies have lovely views, and the hotel is new and away from city noise. Everything was clean, and the service was very pleasant. Breakfast and the restaurant were decent. We were told a spa and some other facilities will be added later, which is great. There wasn’t a TV in the room, and although the pool is nice, there were sometimes bugs floating in it.

There’s plenty of space around the property, with a lovely yard, pool, terrace, and several places to eat. Breakfast had a wide range of fresh, tasty choices and was better than we expected. Being up on the hill also means fresh air and a warm breeze, unlike many hotels in Kakheti. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and luxurious, and the view over the Kakheti Alazani Valley is one of the best. It’s a newly opened hotel I’d recommend for a romantic break, family holiday, or business trip. Great value for money.
