The food cost more than it was worth, and after 6 PM we couldn’t use the pool because staff said chlorine had just been added. That was a letdown in warm weather, when you’d hope to unwind in the evening. Our room also felt short on basics, with no hangers or proper dishes. The staff’s rudeness made the stay feel negative from the start. If you do stay, I’d strongly recommend getting a room with air conditioning and a balcony. It could make things a bit more bearable.

We were a tour group from Asia, and the manager said we smelled, so we weren’t allowed to use the pool. She also said they might not have accepted our booking if they’d known we were from Asia. I felt humiliated. Racism is completely unacceptable, and I can’t understand how this hotel is in the hospitality business. I wonder whether upper management knows how guests from around the world are treated by staff. Some rooms had no A/C in the hot summer, and there was no elevator. Porters were there, but they didn’t do their job. This was our first day in Georgia, and the hotel left us with a bad impression of the country. It’s a real pity, because I love Georgia.

The rooms and pool were nice, and the staff were pleasant. Breakfast was free, with tasty local food and plenty of variety from one day to the next.

Cleanliness and courteous service were especially good here. Thanks for the warm hospitality.
