The real highlight is tucked downstairs: a whole winery where they make wine with the traditional kvevri method, surrounded by old tools for winemaking and food preparation that belong in a museum. The guesthouse also has comfortable rooms, a big terrace for an evening glass of homemade wine, and a lovely spacious garden. It’s close to the city’s main sights and restaurants too. Highly recommend!

Just a short walk from town, Zurab and his daughter, Ekaterina, make you feel completely at home. They’re a very friendly family, and they offer homemade red and white wine along with cha cha. A lovely place to stay in Telavi.

The owners live right next door and are very friendly. There’s a huge balcony and a large shared area, plus a pretty good kitchen. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was decent, and there are heaters for cold weather. It’s just outside the center of this small town.

It’s near the city center, but the place was disgusting. The room and bathroom were dirty, with someone’s hair on the floor, and the toilet had mud and urine on it. There was no heating or air conditioning, no towels or toiletries, and no TV or hair dryer. The linen was extremely old.
