Telavi Inn

The location was a problem, with a long walk from the main road along a pothole-filled, unpaved dead end. Inside the room, the Wi-Fi barely worked, with no connection 99% of the time, probably because my room was at the far end of the building. There was no toilet roll in the bathroom, so I had to ask at the counter, and no complimentary water in the room either. Check-in was frustrating too. My guide thought the staff member was about to hand over my key, but he turned away to chat with other guests. When I finally asked for it, he just looked at me, and even after I interrupted my guide, it took him a while to find my name on the computer.

Dinner was good, and the view from the fifth floor out toward the Caucasus is wonderful. Those things help compensate for the bathroom, where the cleanliness could be better.

The pool was lovely, and the view from the hotel was great. Our stay, though, was a mess. One of our rooms had an ants' nest, so we asked to move. They said there were no rooms available and promised to fix it while we were out that evening. The hotel clearly wasn't full, so being told there was no space felt like a lie. I contacted the local company in Georgia that had arranged our trip, and suddenly another room was available. The duty manager's behavior was so poor that I'd tell people to stay somewhere else.

Breakfast had plenty of variety and was delicious, and it was an easy walk to the center and main attractions. At Hotel Telavi Inn, we found the rooms spotless, comfortable, and nicely designed, with beautiful Caucasus views. The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help as soon as we arrived. It offers a comfortable, elegant stay with Georgian hospitality, whether you're here for work or a holiday. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Telavi.
