This family-run hostel is right on the main square, across from the police station, in a safe and convenient spot on the main road from Kutaisi to Ushguli. It’s cozy and a good fit for solo travelers, couples, or groups. There’s no luxury, but it’s clean and neat for a place to sleep and head off again. Breakfast was very good, with a local touch, and they were flexible about serving time for early departures.

The price was right, and the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. There are several room options, including a quadruple room, a twin with a shared bathroom, and two rooms with private bathrooms. The beds sit too low and the mattresses have seen better days. There’s a shared fridge and kettle, but barely any mugs and just one teaspoon, so bring your own tea or coffee.
