Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with generous Georgian portions and lots of warmth around the dinner table. We had a comfortable stay, and from our room there was a stunning view of Lamaria Church with the mountains behind it. Miranda, her family, and Clara were all so kind and hospitable. They also helped us arrange a horseback tour to the glacier and a visit up a Svan tower. The location worked really well for hiking and for catching the marshutka at the restaurant up the street. We're grateful for our lovely memories of Ushguli and would stay here again without hesitation.

The rooms are spacious, though the bathroom is basic and there was a drain smell in the room. Getting to the guesthouse means taking a really rough road that needs a 4x4. It gets very hot in the sun and cold when the wind picks up. Given how isolated this part of the world is and how different the standards are, I can't complain too much. The value for money was good. Still, breakfast at 30 GEL and dinner at 35GEL seemed expensive. The four of us went to a nearby restaurant, where breakfast cost 40 GEL total. It might make more sense to include these charges in the room price.

The view from our room was lovely, and breakfast was great. Miranda arranged a horse trip for us to Shkhara glacier, which we really enjoyed. The rooms were clean, and the family running the place were lovely. It’s in a great spot in Ushguli. Highly recommend.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. Miranda and her family made us feel welcome, inviting us into their living room and making hot drinks when we were cold. They also showed us around town and shared some of the local culture.
