Horizons Bakurtsikhe

We loved the food and wine, and the staff were so friendly and ready to help that we felt looked after by both the people and the surrounding nature. Horizons is a great escape from noisy Tbilisi, while still being close enough to reach conveniently by public transport. The view is captivating, and the rooms are lovely and equipped with what you might need. We spent time watching the sunrise from the terrace, using the sauna, and playing table tennis with the Alazani Valley in view. It was such a relaxing stay for body and mind that we didn't want to leave. We’d happily recommend it.

We’d heard about this place from friends, and arriving at Horizons felt like stepping into a postcard. I especially loved the rooftop terrace and the panoramic windows, with those breathtaking views across the Alazani Valley to the Caucasus mountains. The cabins are stylish and modern, very comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. Don’t skip breakfast. We left feeling refreshed and inspired, and I’m already thinking about coming back.

The breakfast included with the stay was incredible: shakshuka, homemade cheese, juicy vegetables, and fresh bread. I could happily stay here forever. We visited Horizons on a weekday, when there were hardly any other guests, which may be why it felt so wonderfully removed from the outside world. Sitting on the cabin’s rooftop terrace with hot tea, a blanket, and that amazing view of the valley and mountains was pure peace and happiness. I also slept better than I have in ages thanks to the room’s blackout option. Thank you for coming up with a place like this.

The owners’ attention to little details really stood out. Our room had bath amenities in the WC, rubber slippers for the sauna, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, Marshall speaker, remote controlled automatic curtains, and all the cups, glasses, and other essentials for a comfortable stay. The outdoor area was fully lit, with a big fire pit for gathering, a barbecue zone, and a warm pool that we especially enjoyed. The sauna was another highlight, with its huge panoramic window over the Alazani Valley. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. There were several dinner options and plenty of wines, and the owners were warmly hospitable. It was simply wonderful to spend a couple of days in that atmosphere, with such a view.
