It met my needs, and it was clean. Still, don't expect a hotel, I'd call it a homestay or maybe a hostel. It's 1.8 kilometers from the center, with no restaurant or large grocery market nearby. The beds are dated, and they're not mattresses but large folding pads like the ones used on the floor.

The couple who run this lovely, clean, beautiful place really made it worthwhile. We arrived late and they welcomed us warmly. They offered us excellent wine they had made at home, and used an app to translate from Russian to English for us. Best of all, our maruti wouldn't start the next morning. The husband went to the station on his own initiative and stayed with us, talking to the driver until he saw we could get out of Zhodini. Good people in the middle of the road.

The breakfast was delicious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were really friendly too. For what it costs, I think it’s the best place to stay in Zugdidi.
