Apaade Lodge

We’ve stayed at Apaade Lodge twice, in 2017 and 2025, and it’s been a reliable option for visiting Accra. The rooms are simple and clean, and the huge bed fit one parent and three children. The AC worked very well and got ice cold; there’s also a hot water heater in the shower and WiFi throughout the hotel. A local breakfast is included, and there’s a restaurant on site. The lodge has a pool, parking and on-site security. We didn’t see any mosquitoes in the hotel or nearby during our December and March visits. It’s a quiet, safe residential neighborhood, about a 20-minute drive from the airport and from Kwame Nkrumah Memorial and downtown Accra. We were very happy with our stays.

You’ll LOVE staying here, and it may be even better than you expect. Exquisitely perfect.

Right in the heart of Accra, this lodge is in a peaceful location and has nice rooms at affordable, cost-effective rates with standard services. There’s a cute pool for guests to relax in, and the pool area is spacious enough for different events and parties. Security is assured, with solid internal security as well as regular police patrols and checks in the area. I’d recommend checking it out if you need an affordable place to stay in Accra with a pool and a serene setting.

Most of the time it’s peaceful, and the pool water is usually fresh. The washrooms are the real problem: the toilet often gets blocked and has a strange smell. There isn’t a shower by the pool either. Just an okay place.
