At least it was cheap and close to Oxford st, with a grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. But I wouldn't return, even for free. In my opinion, it seems more geared toward locals than foreigners. The room felt like a shoebox, and the bathroom was so cramped that a tall person couldn't sit on the toilet with the door shut. The toilet leaked, so I had to wear slippers to avoid stepping in the water. The kitchen closed early, which meant buying food in advance if I got hungry late. Staff walked past without greeting me, as if I wasn't there.

You have to book at least two nights, and the bathrooms are private but outside the room. Mine was ¢400 for both nights. There's a laundry mart, which made me feel a little more at ease about the sheets and towels being clean. It's a simple, budget-friendly place, with an open kitchen where you can cook. The cleaning was better than at most places I've stayed.

The room was clean and the price was reasonable. Service was fine, and I was grateful they could fit me in at short notice. It was really noisy, though. My good noise-reducing earplugs helped a bit.

When I arrived at check-in, my room still wasn't ready, so I was told to wait while they finished cleaning. I waited over an hour, and nobody came to update me. When I asked if the room was ready, a staff member said it wasn't their fault and told me to go to another hotel if I had a complaint. The hospitality was appalling. I left without staying and won't book here again.
