The rooms were kept extremely clean, and I enjoyed both the good complimentary breakfast and having a laundry option. We stayed at Forte Royale Hotel for four weeks, and check-in and check-out were very smooth. The staff were exceptionally helpful, from arranging rides for trips to going to the market for specific ingredients to make personalized meals. I'd recommend Forte Royale to anyone doing a rotation at Korle bu teaching hospital, since it's very close by.

The one thing I'd change is the glass door in my room. The curtains didn't reach the floor, so it felt odd being able to see outside, and I worried someone might peek in. I also wish breakfast could be brought to the room at no extra charge, given the nightly rate. During my two-night stay, though, everything else went well. It was calm and beautiful, and the security staff, receptionist, and manager all made us feel welcome. WiFi was very fast at night 🌙, and there was an ironing area we could use for free. My colleague had a small issue with breakfast, but the cook quickly made him something new.

The location was quiet and central, and the front desk gentleman was absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was okay, though there weren't many choices, and I got to have tombrown cereal, a childhood meal I hadn't eaten in years 😀😀. We spent three days and two nights there with no working internet, and each day we were promised it would be restored. I'd stay again, but only if the internet is working.
