G.C Royal Hotel

The kind, welcoming hotel staff made my stay a pleasure, and Lacencia deserves special recognition. She was thoughtful about the details, warm with me, and took real care to keep my room clean. She went above and beyond, and I'm grateful for all her hard work.

The rooms were spacious, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Breakfast leaned mostly toward Asian cuisine, with less variety than I'd expect given the range of cultures among the guests. Still, the service more than made up for that. From arrival onward, every staff member was kind and went out of their way to make the stay memorable for me and my travel group. The front desk team was especially friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The whole staff's care and assistance exceeded my expectations. If top-notch service is what you're after, this is the place.

This is an expensive hotel by local standards, and I don't think it was worth the money. The shower and water were freezing despite the claim that every room has hot water. Its curtain did little to keep water from flooding the bathroom. Noise from the local bars came through the windows and kept us awake, even on the fifth floor. Breakfast was dreadful: there was no food, and although staff said more was coming “right now,” none arrived.

The rooms were spacious, really nice, and clean. But I wasn't happy with the meals. We had rice for breakfast and lunch every day of my stay.
