Highgate Hotel

The staff were courteous and the hotel was clean, but I had a mixed stay. The AC didn’t work, and no water came out of the sink or shower. The owner refused to fix it, show any care, or move me to another room. He said it was my fault for coming during “the busy season.” I’ll never stay there again or recommend it to anyone. I feel sorry for whoever works for him.

The hotel feels peaceful, and I really liked the artifacts. The water filter machine caught my attention because it’s kind of huge. Parking is limited since the area isn’t big, but apart from that, it’s a lovely place to stay.

The location is decent, and there’s a drop-off spot for taxis and similar vehicles. I used both the rooms and the conference facilities, and the atmosphere felt cozy. Just keep in mind that parking is limited.

I came for a tête-à-tête meeting, so I can’t speak from experience about the hotel rooms or lodging. The restaurant and bar service was well organized, though, and the attendants were lovely. Esinam and Richard were especially good to look out for. The setting was comfortable for a business meeting, and based on the service I received, I’d expect the hotel side to be pleasant too.
