Olma Hotel & Suites

We felt welcome and safe from the moment we arrived. The suite was spacious enough, very comfortable, and had a relaxed, homey feel. Breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a treat, especially the toast and fresh fruit. The pool was modest, though we didn't use it.

Olma charges luxury prices for a place whose quality falls well below Ghana standards. After two days I gave up on breakfast. There was no coffee, tea, or fruit, just bland eggs, cornflakes, and one glass of milk. The staff tried to help, but they couldn't make up for how run-down the property felt. It's in a beautiful location, but the room was dirty and hadn't been mopped. Much of the furniture was broken, the walls were stained with paint coming off, and the appliances were dusty. The balcony looked completely abandoned. The AC in the main room was broken, and the Wi-Fi hardly ever worked. There's no excuse for skipping basic mopping and dusting. Avoid this place.

We had power cuts constantly, and the pool was dirty and unusable. When we left a day early, the owner still charged us the full price after a difficult phone call. We were treated terribly. I'd strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Olma Colonial Suites looks understated from the outside, but inside the rooms are beautifully done and the people are warm. My family and I had a really good time and felt at home. When checkout came, the children didn't want to leave. I'd definitely recommend it to individuals, groups, and families.
