The food has plenty of choices and was really good, and the new management’s team were cheerful and willing to help. The location is handy too: Kotoka International Airport is within walking distance, Marina Shopping mall is nearby, and several banks are within 500m. I felt safe walking around without any extra security. It’s also near the Accra business center, with public transport available to major parts of Accra.

Getting to The Palms by Eagle was a little confusing. I first went to a sister property, where the receptionist kindly called a taxi and even offered to pay for my ride to the right place. Once I arrived, I was impressed. It’s a beautiful, world-class hotel with a nice pool, right by the airport. You can walk to and from the airport from here.

The new name, Eagles by Palms, can cause a lot of confusion on maps. The location is still great, with good parking and an awesome pool. Their cocktails and mocktails were excellent, though the buffet could be improved: the sauces, stews, and soups were a bit below what nearby competitors offer. A fair stay, with room to improve.

I went to an event at one of their centers and really enjoyed the food and music. The sound was clear, with no muffled audio, and the time there felt worthwhile.

For a work conference, lunch had a good range of food and drinks, and the WiFi was very fast. The staff were polite too. The only drawback was that the washroom could get crowded.
