Golden Hill Parker Hotel

The staff are what made this stay so special. Everyone was kind and helpful to our group, especially John Emmanuel's (there are two of them), Anthony, Samuel, Stephen, Paul, Millie, Gabriel, and Monica from the boutique. Sorry if I've missed anyone. You all made the trip memorable, thank you. The rooms were clean and airy, with good air conditioning and balconies, and the panoramic views are stunning. It's a lovely base for visiting the historic sites in Elmina and Cape Coast.

The grounds are lovely to walk around, and the pool was clean. The spring rolls were easily the best. The hotel feels newer than some others and has modern facilities, with amazing service and views of Elmina. Faultless.

Our team of seven from the United States spent two nights here after a month working at a hospital in Northeast Ghana, and it was a great break. The staff were wonderful from our transport to and from Accra through the front desk and facilities. Emmanuel, Gabriel, Clement, Paul, and the others were attentive and eager to help. Gabriel even gave up his own time to take us on a walking tour of downtown Elmina the morning we left, which was extraordinary. The restaurant had great choices, fresh fruit, and fish. Our rooms were comfortable, with air-conditioning that worked well and kept them very cool. We loved the hotel's pool. It sits at the top of the hill above the city rather than right by the water, but it was easy to arrange a taxi to a nearby hotel for an ocean swim. Wishing the hotel and its staff all the best. They made our trip excellent.

The birds in the morning are a real highlight, and the view across Elmina is fantastic. It's a beautiful place, and the staff are very accommodating. You can't get straight to the sea from here, which is a bit of a drawback, but going to the beach at Coconut Grove Beach Resort worked just fine for us.
