It's a very pretty place, and the rooms were neat. Breakfast was complimentary with more than one option, and the service overall was good. But there was no phone in the room, which got in the way of good service, and no room service either. I also needed bedside tables and a bathroom shelf for toiletries. I'd go back.

There's plenty of parking, and Summer Place is within walking distance of the University of Cape Coast. Its swimming pool seems to draw young adults, especially on weekends, when the crowd can get a little frenetic. The pool is walled off and set quite apart from the rooms. The property sits on one of the highest points in Cape Coast, in a quiet, out-of-the-way neighbourhood that offers a reasonable amount of privacy. The access road is motorable, though a few parts get quite soggy after rain. I have very little experience with the rooms, food or general service, so I can't comment on those.

The air conditioner and windows were fitted so poorly that holes let wall geckos and mosquitoes into the rooms. We got malaria after staying here.

There are lots of green areas, and the breeze at night is lovely. The rooms are okay, but breakfast was very disappointing: just two small slices of bread with egg. When I asked to buy more bread, they refused.
