The beds and rooms are good, but the rest was pretty disappointing. Breakfast didn’t include toast, and the boy at the bar was very slow. To get a shot of whisky or rum, you have to buy the whole bottle. The cola wasn’t chilled, so they had to run to the store each time we wanted a Coke. Not a nice place to be.

We stay at Tap whenever we’re in bolga, and it’s otherwise a great spot. But we made a reservation two weeks ahead, then arrived to find they’d given away half our rooms to a conference. Disappointing.

For the price, I guess you can’t expect world-class service, but the breakfast was poor, the staff weren’t friendly, and their attitude was really bad. When I complained that there were no TV channels in my room, they acted as if they were doing me a favor. There was no shower head either. I stayed four nights, and I won’t stay there again on a future trip to Bolga.

There’s no hotel called Tap Hotel at this location. In fact, the address is in the middle of the Tamale-Bolga high street in Sakasaka, near Sakasaka Presbyterian Church. My base is around this location.
