Golden Bean Hotel

We had a lovely stay in the executive suite, with a spacious room, good amenities, a nice bathroom, and a balcony. They welcomed us at check-in with mango juice, which was especially appreciated after being out in the sun. Breakfast had a good mix of English and Ghanaian food. The pool area was quiet and well maintained, and the hotel’s location was great.

The buffet was tasty and affordable, with a range of Ghanaian dishes to try in one sitting. The location is prime, and the service is top-notch.

The breakfast buffet had a wide choice of local and international dishes, and the staff were very polite and accommodating. I felt safe thanks to the hotel’s location in central Kumasi and its security measures. As a first-time guest, I was thoroughly impressed by my three-day stay and will definitely return. Keep up the excellent work!

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and Joseph and a few other staff members were excellent at their jobs. Some of the rest could be slow or forgetful, though, and I sometimes waited a long time after asking for something. The whole place has AC. There are quite a few steps at the entrance, though there is a ramp too. I never used the pool because it was consistently unclean, even after I asked several times for it to be cleaned. I mentioned it again when checking out and got eye rolls, along with the claim that it was cleaned daily. Wedding parties sometimes make the venue noisy, but that didn't bother me. Kumasi hotels generally aren't at a standard that draws visitors from elsewhere, and GB is a known name here. With few alternatives, I'd stay again.
