It’s not the sort of three- or four-star hotel we’re used to, but it has the basics and works well enough for a short stay. The receptionists are nice, there’s a steady supply of water and electricity, plus a mini bar and parking. It’s in town and easy to drive to, although the road alongside can get rough during the rainy season.

The room I stayed in was really neat, but the customer service people were a confused bunch who didn’t seem to know what to do. I was there with my wife two years ago. Security also felt poor: when I left at 5am, there was no security guard at the post.

The customer service is great, and I’d recommend it for anyone needing a quick stay. It’s in Trede on the Santasi Obuasi road, around 100 metres from the main road and easy to get to. The place is relatively cheap, has a large parking lot, and offers a peaceful setting with plenty of outdoor space.

The rooms are well furnished and affordable, and there’s capable staff ready to help. The lodge has a nice, homely feel.

A nice option if you’re on a tight budget, though there’s no hot bath.
